 Dr. Brandon Suchey is the founder of Suchey Chiropractic, which he established in 2014 with a vision of providing personalized, family-focused chiropractic care to the Northern Michigan community. Since opening the practice, he has had the privilege of caring for generations of local families and building lasting relationships with his patients. Today, his schedule is primarily dedicated to caring for his established patient base, while Dr. Hunter Traver welcomes new patients to the practice—ensuring the same high standard of compassionate, patient-centered care that Suchey Chiropractic has been known for since day one.

Chiropractic is more than a profession for Dr. Suchey—it's part of his family's legacy. Inspired by his grandfather, who was also a chiropractor, he developed a passion for helping others through natural, hands-on healthcare from an early age.

Originally from Michigan's Upper Peninsula, Dr. Suchey earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2010. Following graduation, he founded Suchey Chiropractic in 2014 and has remained dedicated to serving the Northern Michigan community with honest, individualized care.

Patients appreciate Dr. Suchey's friendly personality, thorough approach, and genuine commitment to their health. He believes every patient deserves to be heard, educated, and treated with care tailored to their individual needs. Whether treating back pain, neck pain, headaches, sciatica, sports injuries, or everyday aches and pains, his goal is to help patients restore function, improve mobility, and enjoy a healthier, more active life.

Outside the office, Dr. Suchey is a devoted family man who lives in Gaylord, Michigan, with his wife and children. He enjoys hunting, boating, and spending time outdoors with his family. As a local entrepreneur and owner of multiple businesses, he is passionate about serving the community he proudly calls home.

At Suchey Chiropractic, we're proud to have Dr. Hunter Traver as part of our team. Since joining our practice, Dr. Hunter has quickly become a trusted provider known for his compassionate care, attentive listening, and commitment to helping patients achieve their health goals.

A Michigan native, Dr. Hunter earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2025, the founding college of chiropractic. His education provided a strong foundation in evidence-informed chiropractic care, allowing him to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Dr. Hunter believes that the best results come from understanding the whole person—not just their symptoms. Whether you're dealing with back or neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, or simply looking to improve your overall health and mobility, he takes the time to listen, educate, and work alongside you to create a plan that fits your lifestyle.

When he's not in the office, Dr. Hunter enjoys spending time outdoors and taking advantage of everything Northern Michigan has to offer.

Dr. Hunter is currently seeing patients Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and is also available Friday mornings from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. He participates with Medicare, Medicare Plus Blue, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Priority Health, making quality chiropractic care accessible to more members of our community.

 Katherine "Katie" Carlson, LMT, has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2007 and is passionate about helping patients reduce pain, relieve stress, and improve their overall well-being through therapeutic massage. At Suchey Chiropractic, she offers 30-, 60-, and 90-minute massage sessions, allowing each treatment to be customized to your individual needs, goals, and schedule.

With nearly two decades of experience, Katie believes massage therapy is an important part of a healthy lifestyle and works closely with each client to provide personalized care. As our Office Manager, Jillian is the behind-the-scenes problem solver, organizer, and "make-it-happen" person who keeps the practice operating day in and day out. With more than five years at Suchey Chiropractic, she oversees everything from insurance billing and credentialing to payroll, accounting, marketing, human resources, and office operations. Simply put... if it involves keeping the practice running, Jillian is probably involved.

She loves finding better ways to do things, creating efficient systems, and solving the challenges that come with a busy, growing healthcare practice. While most of her work happens behind the scenes in her office, her goal is simple: make every patient's experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

One of Jillian's favorite parts of her job is watching the practice continue to grow. From welcoming new providers and expanding services to improving processes for patients and staff, she enjoys being part of a team that's always looking for ways to better serve the Northern Michigan community.

When she's not keeping the office running, Jillian is busy keeping up with her husband and four energetic boys. She loves spending time on the water, tackling home improvement projects, staying active, and enjoying everything Northern Michigan has to offer. She believes a little organization, a lot of coffee, and a good sense of humor can solve just about anything.
